Moving to Health & Stillness
Yoga for Special Conditions
Yoga has been a life saver in living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). In a sense, my RA has been a gift as I have gained a special understanding of joints, muscular-skeletal issues, pain, inflammation and the stress of chronic illness. I initially enrolled in yoga teacher training to help me understand how yoga contributed to my own healing. Since then I have completed additional training to support people living with cancer or under going cancer treatment. I have worked with clients recovering from surgery, shoulder issues, hip replacements, back pain, knee issues e.g. ACL tears and other injuries. Get in touch to find out how I may support you.
Private Classes
1:1 or shared private classes can be arranged at my home studio, at your home or on zoom. Charges are from £60/hr at my home, £70/hr at yours and £50/hr on zoom. Clients come from all over North London; locally from Tufnell Park, Holloway, Camden, Kentish Town, Highgate, Archway, Hampstead, Belsize to Golders Green, Cricklewood, Kilburn, including Stratford, Bethnal Green and Canary Wharf. Since the pandemic internationally including Mauritius, San Francisco, Germany, & Italy.
Each person is unique and I teach to the person in front of me. My Hatha Yoga classes interweave my explorations in movement and somatic practices (including Pilates, martial arts, dance, & bio mechanics). Through the physical, yoga works to still the mind. All classes integrate the body and mind through the breath so that you feel restored after class. This weekly class is open to everyone although absolute beginners should get in touch first. Classes are every Thursday, 10 am at my studio in Tufnell Park or on zoom. In person classes are 75 mins with a max of 4 people for social distancing. You will receive individual attention. In person £19, zoom £15. Concessions available.
